You’ve heard the saying, “people do business with other people they know, like and trust”.  That’s a very true statement.  It’s common sense.
If I know you, and I know your reputation,your previous work, and your character, I’m more likely to refer you business to other people that I know…

 

But here’s the question:  What if they don’t know who you are?
How do you stand out from the rest of your competition?

As a high performance coach, I get the pleasure of helping people

“Scott, how do I stand out from my competition?”

There’s a few ways I’m going to share with you right now…


Shift Your Mindset

Rather than thinking how do I compete against my competition,
I want you to start thinking in terms of DOMINATING, not competing.
There’s a huge difference between, just getting by, and being another
business in your industry, versus being the best in your industry..
It starts with looking at yourself and your business in a new light.

“Scott, I’m only a small business owner.
Who am I to think that I can dominate?”

 

Rather than saying to yourself and other people, I’m just a small business owner; start classifying yourself as a CEO.
Rather than saying, I’m a financial planner. Tell people you change the lives of business owners forever by helping them protect the biggest assets of their life.

…..do you see the difference?  It’s a complete mindset shift.

If you think you’re “only a small business owner”, then you will
continue to attract people who play at a small level.

 

 

The Louder, The Better

When I say, “be louder”, I’m not asking you to change your personality.

I’m not saying that you need to go from being an introvert, to now being a complete extrovert. What I am saying is, you need to be OMNIPRESENT.

Omnipresent means being EVERYWHERE…

People ask me all the time, “Scott, besides coaching and helping people to transform their lives and business through your coaching program, why do you also have a very successful podcast, you’re publishing a book, you write for Entrepreneur, you speak on stage, and you have a tv/web show?

Answer:
I want to dominate and stand out from everyone else that does what I do..

With the advent of Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, Periscope, and LinkedIn, these are FREE tools that you can use to build your brand.
These are amazing lead generation tools that you should be using on a daily basis to be omnipresent.

Remember, you want to stand out.  You want to dominate. You want people
to have you front and center in their minds when they need your type of service or product.

Think about it like this.  Do you do business with people who are always
in the forefront of your mind, or someone you met 6 months ago, and barely remember!!??

Stepping up , and stepping out means getting out of your comfort zone,
and doing things a little different than you did in the past.  If you’re reading
this article, I know you’re someone who’s looking to add massive value
to the people you serve.  The only way for you to add more value and reach
more people, is for you to have people remember who you are.
